Capturing a Week of Growth: SHRA's Annual Conference at Evergreen Lodge, Yosemite

The Goal
The Seasonal Human Resource Association wanted more than a photo album from their 4-day annual conference at Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite National Park, they wanted highlights that captured the full energy of the week: the keynote sessions, the classroom brainstorming, and the outdoor excursions through the national park that brought the group together outside the classroom setting.

My Solution
To tell the full story of the event, I stayed embedded with the group from the opening keynote to the final outing, moving fluidly between three very different environments: structured front-of-the-class presentations, close, unscripted classroom discussion, and wide-open outdoor scenes in Yosemite itself.
Coverage Approach
Documentary-style shooting: minimal direction, maximum presence, so the energy in the room stayed authentic rather than posed.
Lighting: Available/ambient light in the lodge's meeting spaces, supplemented with bounce flash, for interior sessions; natural daylight for all outdoor excursion footage
