A Visual Journey of Connection
This reel is a tapestry of the places and people who shaped my year, woven from the streets of the UK, the lush calm rice fields of Bali, the pulse of Kuala Lumpur, a sacred pilgrimage in Touba, Senegal, the vibrant spirit of Katutura in Windhoek, and the South African beauty of Cape Town.
Created while working with business clients and building new relationships, this journey became more than content creation, it became cultural growth, shared knowledge, and family-like connections formed along the way.
What you see is an expression of color, movement, and humanity. A warm-hearted visual record of the moments that remind us to capture our journeys.
The Legacy of the Davis Family
The Legacy of the Davis Family is an intimate documentary- like study that was created as a visual for their retirement party, which also expresses their motions for forward movement in life. This mini-doc traces the roots, relationships, and generational impact of one of Columbia, South Carolina's quietly influential family.
To uncover their story, I stepped beyond the surface, traveling to the personal homes of the Davis family’s closest friends, relatives, and long-time colleagues, and journeying to the neighborhoods, streets, and gathering places where their origin stories were born. Through these conversations and locations, a fuller picture emerged: not just who the Davis family is, but how their legacy shaped the community around them.
This project was crafted as a one-creator production. From pre-planning to final delivery, I carried every role, director, cinematographer, interviewer, sound recordist, editor, sound designer, music curator, and colorist. This hands-on approach allowed the story to be captured with continuity, care, and a unified creative vision. The result is a concise but meaningful visual archive: a documentary built to honor a family’s heritage, preserve their stories, and create a bridge between the past and the generations who will carry their name forward.
